Wayne, I love your Dharma, Amulets and Images blogs; always interested to hear your views on the Buddha's teaching and about your temple tours. But this amulet, which depicts a horse and tiger (I think) having sex, is simply crossing the line. I am not questioning the effectiveness of the amulet or how great the Wicha master is, but what does this have to do with Buddha and His teaching. I know such exotic amulets can be found in many amulet shops in Singapore and are promoted by fellow Singaporean bloggers (some who I think have really "lost" it: their mind). I find them really interesting because I always wonder what was in the mind of the master when he create such "exotic" amulet. Anyhow, I just thought you would be careful about promoting this "line" of amulet. Anyway, just my thought. Hope you are not offended.

Warmest Regards,
Chris

Tks for your feedback Chris. To me it is just an image of mating animals, nothing erotic or exotic abt it. Images of male and female deities locked in sexual union are even more common in Tibetan Buddhism. Should we ban all this images just bcos they appear explicit? Instead, one shld seek to understand the symbolism behind such images and not look at them with a conservative prejudice.
